Why I Created Unbroken Athletica

There comes a point in life when you realise you have two choices: stay where you are or take the first step forward.

For me, Unbroken Athletica began with that first step.

It wasn't created in a boardroom. It wasn't created because I wanted to sell leggings.

It was created during one of the most challenging chapters of my life.

I have gone through domestic violence, lost my mum, lost everything I had worked so hard to build, suffered some health issues, and often felt completely alone. There were many nights filled with tears, heartbreak, and uncertainty about what the future would look like.

At times, it felt like life kept knocking me down before I had the chance to get back up.

I remember wondering how much more one person could take.

I remember sitting with the grief of losing my mum, trying to navigate a future I never imagined, while carrying the weight of everything else that had fallen apart around me.

I remember feeling lost.

I remember feeling exhausted.

And I remember feeling like I had lost a part of myself.

Like many women, I've experienced moments that tested everything I thought I knew about myself. Moments that shook my confidence, my sense of identity, and my belief in what was possible for my future.

There were days when simply getting through the day felt like a victory.

But somewhere along the way, I discovered something important.

I wasn't broken.

I was rebuilding.

Slowly, one step at a time, I started putting the pieces back together.

Not perfectly.

Not all at once.

Just one step, one decision, and one small act of courage at a time.

What started as a personal journey became something much bigger. Every setback taught me resilience. Every challenge taught me strength. Every step forward reminded me that even when life knocks you down, you can choose to get back up.

That is where Unbroken Athletica was born.

Not from success.

Not from certainty.

But from resilience.

From the decision to keep moving forward, even when I couldn't see the finish line.

Unbroken Athletica is more than activewear.

It is a reminder.

A reminder that your story isn't over.

A reminder that strength doesn't always look loud. Sometimes strength looks like showing up when nobody is watching. Sometimes strength looks like getting out of bed when you don't want to. Sometimes it looks like taking one small step forward when everything inside you wants to give up. Sometimes it looks like choosing yourself after years of putting everyone else first.

This brand was built for women who have rebuilt themselves.

Women who have faced challenges and kept moving forward.

Women who have started over.

Women who have doubted themselves but kept going anyway.

Women who are still finding their way back to themselves.

As I write this, Unbroken Athletica is still in its early chapters. There are designs being created, decisions being made, and dreams slowly being turned into reality. It's exciting, but it's also scary at times.

The truth is, building a brand is a lot like rebuilding yourself.

There are moments of doubt.

There are setbacks.

There are lessons you never expected to learn.

But there is also growth.

And there is hope.

Because every day you choose to keep going is another day you prove to yourself that you are stronger than you think.

And that's what this journey is about.

Through The Unbroken Journal, I'll be sharing the real story behind the brand—the wins, the challenges, the lessons, and the moments that remind me why I started.

My hope is that somewhere in these stories, you see a part of yourself.

Because Unbroken Athletica isn't really about me.

It's about every woman who has ever had to start over.

Every woman who has ever questioned her worth.

Every woman who has ever cried tears nobody saw.

Every woman who has ever felt alone.

Every woman who has ever fought her way back.

This is for you.

Welcome to Unbroken Athletica.
